SWIMMING

Swimmers preparing for Rotary Meet

A total of 18 swimming teams will descend on Keyes Memorial Pool from July 20-21 for the 45th Milford Rotary Swim Meet.

Milford?s local Rotary Club, the town recreation staff and the Keyes swim team volunteers are busily preparing for event that attracts nearly six hundred athletes.

Two weeks after the meet, from Aug. 3-4, Milford Recreation and the Keyes swim team will host 14 teams in the Division 2 and 4 State Championship Meet.

The Milford Rotary Chuck Wagon will be on-site at the July meet, selling Rotary hamburgers and other refreshments, with all proceeds going to help fund the annual swim meet. Commemorative T-shirts and swim accessories will also be sold as a fundraiser for the event.

SOCCER

Fall registration open

Hampshire FC/Amherst Soccer Club is now taking registrations for boys and girls ages U3-U10 for the fall Tots and Early Development programs.

No tryout required. Fall registration fee includes a week of soccer camp from Aug. 12-16 for the EDP. There are also limited spots available for the boys and girls
U11-U14 teams.

HIGH SCHOOL

Souhegan openings

Souhegan High School is accepting applications for the following coaching positions for the fall: JV girls volleyball, freshman boys soccer, freshman girls volleyball and freshman field hockey. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, a resume and three references to the attention of Dick Miller, athletic director, at Souhegan High School.

Milford opening

Milford High School is accepting applications for the following coaching positions for the fall: JV girls soccer. Candidates should complete an application, which can be found at www.milfordk12.org, and click on human resources. Submit the application along with a cover letter, resume and three letters of reference to: Marc Maurais, athletic director, Milford High School, 100 West St. Milford, NH 03055.
