We?ve home schooled for quite a few years. We?ve always used conventional books to cover the subjects and it?s worked very well. My middle children right now are close to starting junior high school grades and want to try on online curriculum for their studies. I spoke to a few other home school families that are doing their schooling online and they?ve all had very positive things to say about it. We?re going to give it a try for the boys, since they?re so interested in it.

WASHINGTON (AP) ? The arguments are done and the case has been submitted, as Chief Justice John Roberts says at the end of every Supreme Court argument. Now the justices will wrestle with what to do with President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. They have a range of options, from upholding the law to striking it down in its entirety. The court also could avoid deciding the law's constitutionality at all, although that prospect seems remote after this week's arguments.
A look at six potential outcomes, from the simplest to the most complicated possible rulings:
___
Q. What if the Supreme Court upholds the law and finds Congress was within its authority to require most people to have health insurance or pay a penalty?
A. A decision in favor of the law would end the legal fight and allow the administration to push forward with implementing its provisions over the next few years, including the insurance requirement, an expansion of Medicaid and a ban on private insurers' denying coverage to people with pre-existing health problems.
The political wrangling, however, probably would continue as candidates for Republican presidential nomination and lesser offices are calling for repeal of the law.
___
Q. What if, on the other hand, the court strikes down the entire law?
A. That would kill a costly new federal entitlement before it has a chance to take root and develop a constituency of beneficiaries and supporters, namely more than 30 million people who are supposed to wind up with health insurance because of the law.
In addition, some parts of the law already are in effect and would be rolled back. One popular provision allowing young adults to stay on their parents' insurance until age 26 has added nearly 2.5 million people to the coverage rolls, at no cost to taxpayers.
But there's no escaping America's double-barreled problem of excruciatingly high health care costs and many uninsured people, more than 50 million according to the latest estimates.
Whether it's dealing with the federal deficit, retirement security for seniors or even the Pentagon budget, elected officials would still have to confront health care at nearly every turn.
Congress would get to roll the ball up the hill again.
___
Q. What happens if the court strikes down the individual insurance requirement, but leaves the rest of the Affordable Care Act in place?
A. Knocking out the requirement that Americans carry insurance would not be the end of Obama's health care overhaul. There's a lot more in the 900-plus pages of the law.
But it would make the complicated legislation a lot harder to carry out, risking more complications for a U.S. health care system already seen as wasteful, unaffordable and unable to deliver consistently high quality.
Ten million to 15 million uninsured people who would have gotten coverage under the law could be left out.
The cost of individually purchased private health insurance would jump. That would make it more expensive for the government to subsidize premiums, although millions of middle-class people would still be entitled to such assistance under the law's remaining provisions.
If the individual mandate is struck, the law's Medicaid expansion would still cover millions more low-income people, mainly childless adults.
And a host of other mandates would stay in place. Starting in 2014, medium-sized and large employers would be hit with fines for not providing coverage to their workers.
Insurance companies would be required to accept people with pre-existing medical problems, no longer allowed to cherry-pick the healthy to keep costs down. They would also be barred from imposing higher premiums on people in poor health and limited in what they could charge older adults.
If that happens, premiums in the individual health insurance market would jump anywhere from 10 percent to 30 percent, according to various forecasts from economists.
Experts debate whether or not such a cost spike would trigger the collapse of the insurance market for individuals and small businesses ? or just make coverage even more expensive than it already is.
"Without a mandate the law is a lot less effective," said MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, who advised the Obama administration and, earlier on, then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who put such an insurance mandate in that state's health care law. "The market will not collapse, but it will be a ton more expensive and cover many fewer people."
___
Q. What if the court strikes down the mandate and invalidates the parts of the law that require insurance companies to cover people regardless of medical problems and that limit what they can charge older people?
A. Many fewer people would get covered, but the health insurance industry would avoid a dire financial hit.
Insurers would be able to continue screening out people with a history of medical problems, such as diabetes patients or cancer survivors.
That would prevent a sudden jump in premiums. But it would leave consumers with no assurance that they can get health insurance when they need it, a major problem the law was intended to fix. Other economically developed countries guarantee health insurance for their citizens.
A related requirement limits premiums charged to older adults. Currently people in their late 50s and early 60s can face premiums as much as six or seven times higher than those charged to 20-year-olds. The law says insurers may charge older adults no more than three times what they charge younger ones.
Administration lawyers say the insurance requirement goes hand in hand with the coverage guarantee and cap on premiums, and have asked the court to get rid of both if it finds the mandate to be unconstitutional.
___
Q. What happens if the court throws out only the expansion of the Medicaid program?
A. Throwing out the expansion would severely limit the law's impact because roughly half of the more than 30 million people expected to gain health insurance under the law would get it through the expansion of Medicaid, the federal-state health insurance program for low-income people.
The law would effectively bring under Medicaid everyone making up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level. That works out to about $15,400 for an individual, $30,650 for a family of four. Most of those who would be added to the Medicaid rolls are low-income adults without children.
But a potentially sizable number of those low-income people might still be eligible for government-subsidized ? though probably more expensive ? private insurance under other provisions of the law. Private coverage will probably be more expensive for taxpayers to subsidize than Medicaid.
States suing to overturn the federal law argue that the Medicaid expansion comes with so many strings attached it amounts to an unconstitutional power grab by Washington, reaching directly into the wallets of state taxpayers.
The administration counters that the federal government is paying all of the initial cost of the expansion and 90 percent in perpetuity, well above what Washington contributes for regular Medicaid. Moreover, when Congress created Medicaid in 1965 it also served notice on the states that program rules could change in the future. This is only the latest of many such changes.
The Supreme Court took on this issue even though none of the district or appeals courts that heard health care lawsuits had any problem with the Medicaid expansion.
"We don't have any lower court that has struck down this (Medicaid) provision, so there is no precedent from the lower courts on how to handle it," said Diane Rowland, a Medicaid expert with the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation. "They all upheld it."
___
Q. What happens if the court decides that the constitutional challenge is premature?
A. The wild card, and least conclusive outcome in the case, probably also is the least likely, based on what justices said during the arguments. No justice seemed inclined to take this path, which involves the court's consideration of a technical issue. The federal appeals court in Richmond, Va., held that the challenge to the insurance requirement has to wait until people start paying the penalty for not purchasing insurance. The appeals court said it was bound by the federal Anti-Injunction Act, which is intended to facilitate tax collections and keep the government operating. That law says federal courts may not hear challenges to taxes, or anything that looks like a tax, until after they are paid.
It remains at least possible that if the justices have trouble coming together on any of the other options they could simply decide not to decide the big issues.
Although the administration says it doesn't want this result, such a decision would allow it to continue putting the law in place and force postponement of any subsequent challenge until more of the benefits are being received. On the other hand, Republicans might have more ammunition to press for repeal of the law in the meantime.

At the Civil War Adventure Camp, participants can join in musket drills.
By Lena Katz, JustLuxe
?Everybody wants the backstage ticket.?
This is one way that Cruising With the Stars creator and lead instructor Sharon Savoy sums up the appeal of her one-week themed ballroom cruise ? and it?s probably the best way to understand why fantasy camps in general are gaining such popularity amongst affluent Generation X travelers.
Cruising with the Stars, Broadway Camp, auto-racing camps and even a Civil War reenactment camp lure vacationers in spite of the big-ticket sign-up fee, because they offer a chance to live out what?s typically only seen on the screen.
?Even celebrities who have been on ?Dancing with the Stars? said being on the show felt like a fantasy,? says Savoy, a World Exhibition Dance Championship winner who has trained many of the professional dancers appearing on today's popular competition shows.? For the inaugural Cruising with the Stars sailing, she?s booked Karina Smirnoff, one of the biggest celebrities to come out of the televised dance craze, as the headliner.? All seven instructors are recognizable faces for those who follow "Dancing With the Stars," "So You Think You Can Dance" and the other shows.
?We?re having little gatherings where guests can ask questions, meet the people, rub shoulders, and even foxtrot alongside them,? says Savoy. ??It?s a glimpse of the real thing ? but without the intimidation of being on national television, or feeling the judges? heat.?
For participants who are there for actual technical knowledge, there?s no limit to the number of classes participants can take during the June sailing ? and classes will be split into three levels, so the advanced amateurs who show up to learn award-winning arm styling from Katrina Smirnoff won?t be getting their toes stepped on by first-timers who just want to have a photo taken with?her.
In a fantasy camp, it?s common for high-quality technical instruction and flat-out escapism? to coexist. At Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, a hugely popular concept that?s now offered in New York, London and sometimes even in the Caribbean as well as its spiritual home of Los Angeles, one group of attendees might be ensconced in serious rehearsals with A-list studio musicians turned ?instructor? just for the four-day camp; while another group might be lining up to pose for pictures pretending to duet with an amiable Steven Tyler.?
Not all fantasy camps are glamorous, however. Pamplin Historical Park near?Petersburg, Va., has a Civil War Adventure Camp wherein participants overnight in re-created Civil War soldiers' barracks, eat soldiers' rations and learn drills and tactics of the time. It?s a fraction the cost of the over-the-top camps, and unsurprisingly, draws a specific type of history enthusiast as well as families on drive vacations.
?We felt engaged in the experience from the moment we mustered in ... and we haven?t stopped talking about the skirmishes,? says Adam Venette of Cypress, Texas, who attended a recent camp at Pamplin.
In a down economy, one might think that grownups would be?taking austerity measures. And they have. But for one week out of a year, the opportunity to live out a fantasy is also an opportunity to reclaim one?s vitality.?
?People tell me that the most memorable thing about a high-performance driving course is the first time they actually get the car out on the track, and experience the freedom they never had before,? says Spencer Pumpelly, a professional TRG-affiliated racer who also instructs at the Skip Barber Racing School. He says that many people notice ?the amount of mental energy it takes just to complete a lap.?
An interesting takeaway from studying the fantasy camp trend is this: Some Americans actually still enjoy using mental energy during a vacation, even if?Travelocity commercials indicate otherwise. Whether driving a race car, singing on a Broadway stage or learning a foxtrot, fantasy camp participants are exercising parts of their minds and bodies in ways they don?t get to?otherwise ? and to them, this is preferable to a week of all-inclusive umbrella drinks.

When the Supreme Court rules on ObamaCare, it will define Barack Obama as either a winner or loser.
James Carville says overturning ObamaCare would be the best thing that could happen to Democrats. I think he?s wrong.
ObamaCare is the centerpiece of Obama?s term in office. He put all of America?s business on hold for a year to pass it. He coerced, lied, intimidated, and threatened to get the law passed.? It consumed him.
If Barack Obama?s only major accomplishment turns out to be a very divisive, very expensive, very distracting assault on the Constitution, the only word that will fit him is ?loser.?
But if Anthony Kennedy can be persuaded to break the Constitution, Obama will be, more or less, our dictator. If the law is upheld, people will see him as a winner because people flock to power.
The republic hangs in the balance.

With the recent notification of RBI?(Reserve Bank of India)?about limiting Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) to provide Gold Loan up to 60% of value of Gold Jewellary, it seems now rules of the game would be rewritten.
Now, banks might turn out to be better option for Gold Loan borrowers due to following reasons:
But NBFCs gain when it comes to loan processing time, processing fees and flexibility in duration of the loan.
For processing a gold loan request, banks charge around 1% of the loan value as processing charges?and in some cases borrowers face an additional charge under stamp duty and assayer charges. Gold finance companies however have a very nominal processing charge and this again is a fixed amount and doesn?t vary with value of the loan. At Manappuram Finance for instance the processing fee is Rs 8 and from the second month of the loan the borrower is levied Rs 2 as renewal fee in addition to the interest.
Banks also take a relatively longer time to process a gold loan. This is generally because of the additional paper work and sometimes because of certain procedural delays and glitches at the back-end.
So now it?s you to decide what you want!
if you are looking for higher value of gold loan at lower interest rate bank might be a good option but if you want a more flexible approach with faster processing time NBFCs would be a better option.

When University of Illinois President Michael Hogan took over 20 months ago after an embarrassing scandal, his supporters championed him as a likable reformer who could stabilize the university.
On Thursday, he resigned after months of turmoil, a faculty mutiny and a scandal in the president's office that had left him so sidelined that people began to question not whether he would quit but when.
His last day as president will be July 1, and he is the second U. of I. president to resign under fire in less than three years. Robert Easter, who has been everything from a doctoral student to interim chancellor in nearly four decades at the U. of I., will take over for at least two years.
The end of Hogan's presidency came relatively quickly ? just two weeks after trustees instructed him to improve his fractured relationship with the faculty or risk losing his job. Hogan pledged to do better and said he was "optimistic" he could regain their trust. Top faculty disagreed, sending a second letter to the board Thursday asking for his "rapid and decisive termination."
By Sunday, board of trustees Chairman Christopher Kennedy was meeting with Hogan in the president's Chicago condominium, and Hogan told him he had decided it was best to resign. They discussed Easter taking over as the 19th president.
"Whatever he was doing in those 10 days, he arrived at that conclusion, that he wanted to resign," said Kennedy, who was appointed to the board in 2009 after an admissions scandal. One of the board's first significant actions was to hire Hogan.
"Mike Hogan accomplished almost everything that had been identified as important goals for the university when he was hired," Kennedy said. He said Hogan was "absolutely not" a failed hire. "Let's not make the perfect the enemy of the good. What he did was good."
In Thursday's announcement, Kennedy said the university "owes (Hogan) a debt of gratitude for moving a number of tough, and sometimes unpopular, initiatives forward."
Kennedy said Hogan's accomplishments included $30 million in administrative cost savings and providing merit-based salary increases this year for the first time in three years. He also made a number of high-profile hires, including new chancellors at the Urbana-Champaign and Springfield campuses and a new vice president for the health system.
Hogan, 68, didn't respond to an interview request Thursday and said in a statement that it was "a distinct honor and privilege" to serve as president. He will assume a position as a tenured faculty member in the history department, and his new salary is expected to be voted on by trustees at a meeting Friday.
When Hogan was hired, Kennedy called him "a rare find, a top-flight leader capable of moving the university forward." Hogan was given a five-year contract and a salary that grew to $651,000 this year. He called the Illinois job "a dream come true."
"I'm here until the end. Where would I go from the University of Illinois? I'm at the top," Hogan said in May 2010.
But he alienated faculty and staff, particularly at the Urbana-Champaign campus, almost from day one, where in town hall meetings and other forums he described the university system as broken and portrayed himself as the savior who would fix it. As president, Hogan oversees the university's three campuses: Urbana-Champaign, Chicago and Springfield.
He began centralizing some functions such as information technology and human resources, and faculty at the flagship Urbana-Champaign campus became concerned that talk of "branding" the university system as a whole would lead to a loss of distinction and autonomy at the individual campuses.
"He did not understand the culture of the University of Illinois, and it got him into trouble," said UIC biochemistry professor Donald Chambers, chair of the University Senates Conference. "Almost from the get-go, he began to have problems."
Simmering discontent became a full-fledged crisis in January when his chief of staff and longtime confidante, Lisa Troyer, resigned after anonymous, inflammatory emails sent to a key faculty group were traced to her computer. She denies writing or sending the emails.
The emails tried to influence faculty debate on one of Hogan's key initiatives: changing the university's student enrollment strategies to provide more centralizing of admissions and financial aid processing among the three campuses.
Faculty said the enrollment controversy was symptomatic of a larger problem of what they described as Hogan's arrogant, manipulative leadership style and bullying of people who disagreed with him. They pointed to emails released under public records requests that show him chastising the chancellor for her inability to allay faculty concerns about the enrollment issue.
Hogan backed down on the most controversial details of the enrollment plan earlier this week, a decision applauded by the faculty. But it was too late.
"The realization that rebuilding trust wasn't going to happen became clear to everybody. ... I'm amazed at the speed by which the board acted," said U. of I. engineering professor Charles Zukowski, one of the endowed professors who signed the letters criticizing Hogan.
Zukowski said a second presidential resignation is problematic.
"I do think it's bad for the university," he said. "Certainly all my academic contacts around the country are going, 'What is going on at Illinois?'"
Terry Hartle, senior vice president at the American Council on Education, said Hogan could no longer weather the discontent of the faculty once the board decided his missteps were beyond repair.
"Faculty grumbling is a time-honored tradition in higher education. I think it just ultimately became too much," Hartle said. "You don't lose your jobs as president because you lose the confidence of the faculty. When the board (of trustees) loses confidence is when the president usually leaves."
On March 30, Hogan was to face the faculty senate at Urbana-Champaign, and by all accounts, it was going to be a contentious meeting. It was canceled Thursday after Hogan resigned.
"It's very sad that things had to reach this point," said U. of I. education professor Nicholas Burbules, a faculty senator. "I respect the fact that President Hogan did what was right for the university ? it must have been very difficult for him."

BUDAPEST (Reuters) - When money runs low, it sometimes pays to gamble, and that's what the Budapest Spring Festival did this year lining up Hollywood star John Malkovich to portray a serial killer, and Russian virtuoso Maxim Vengerov to play his violin.
Vengerov, who cancelled two Budapest performances after he was sidelined in 2008 by a shoulder injury, but began playing regularly again in public last year, showed up last Saturday for a sold-out concert in Budapest's Palace of Arts concert hall.
There has been even greater suspense about Malkovich and whether he would appear for two performances of "The Infernal Comedy", based on the autobiography of Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger, in a one-man show interspersed with opera arias and music, but festival director Zsofia Vitezy is confident.
"There are always some risks in a festival like this, we call them the risky performances," Vitezy told Reuters in an interview this week.
"But we are through with Vengerov and the contract is signed with Malkovich so I hope nothing bad will happen...I'm sure he's going to show up."
It helps that Vitezy has "the show must go on" spirit, because these are gloomy times in Hungary, which took a bailout from the European Union and the IMF in 2008, and is in the process of seeking more loans to keep its economy afloat.
Vitezy said the budget for the festival, marking its 32nd year and supported largely by the national and local governments, was cut by a third, forcing a scramble to put on a good show while saving money. The overall budget, including funds from sponsors, is 425 million forints ($1.91 million).
Inevitably, there were casualties. Vitezy scrapped one big concert, which she declined to describe further, and pared back other events, for example by cancelling, because of the high travel costs, the participation of a Mexican percussion group.
She also reduced the festival to 11 days from 17, which might be bad for tourism but helped maintain artistic integrity. The festival ends on March 26.
"We had to decide whether to have a two-week festival with weaker programs, or 11 days with stronger ones, and people say it was a good decision," she said.
LOCAL FLAVOR
Cutbacks aside, the festival has branched out from what used to be a fairly strict diet of classical music and opera, with the occasional jazz concert or ballet thrown in. There is now a greater variety of international and locally produced content.
One of the most ambitious new productions was a review of what the festival program calls "European salon music in the first half of the 20th century", mounted in the charming bijou Festival Theatre of the Palace of Arts by a high-spirited and handsome troupe of six Hungarians, including locally well-known actors and actresses.
The idea was to show the interactions of pre-war, music hall songs in European capitals, from the Iberian peninsula to the Balkans, but "Musica, Musique, Musik" also succeeded in capturing the flavor of a time that, for director Reka Pelsoczy, can never return.
"In these songs, you can sense that death is in them," Pelsoczy, who is an actress and director at the Jozsef Katona Theatre in Budapest, told Reuters.
"These are old songs and I know what happened afterwards, something happened that meant the world could never be the same again."
The songs, many sung in German but others in so many languages it was hard to keep track, were cleverly acted out so it was a rare ditty that did not come through, even if listeners did not know a word of the Yiddish, Polish or Greek being sung.
Had it been an opera, the audience would have been within its rights to demand subtitles, but Gergely Zoldi, who wrote the script, said polyglot performances were the rule in pre-war music halls.
"So this is a show that you can take anywhere and it will be understood as little as it is here," he joked.
Festival director Vitezy meanwhile can breathe a sigh of relief that despite the economic bad news out of Hungary, and having to downsize, tickets were sold out 90 to 95 percent.
She will have to pull another rabbit out of the hat next year, when the festival coincides with the Easter holidays.
"It's risky. Hungarians will be going out of the country, but we hope the foreigners will be coming in."

Mothering Sunday is a festival that has celebrated motherhood for hundreds of years. This tradition, falling in the Spring of each year, is a perfect way to show your mum how grateful you are to her for just being her. From Mothers Day cardsto epic gifts, there is something to suit any budget for this special day and with online shopping now more popular than ever you don?t even need to leave your living room to show mum you love her.
If you want something unique to accompany your Mothering Sunday present or maybe have a mum who likes to keep things low key you can?t go wrong with personalised Mothers Day cards. These cards are a wonderful way of showing real thought and effort has gone into it and at just under 3 they are better value than most shop bought standard cards. If mum is a keen gardener then the front can be emblazoned with sunflowers or roses. If chocolates or champagne are more her thing then there are designs with them incorporated too. Mum?s name (or just the word ?mum?) is worked in to the front making a card that is sure to raise a smile. You can also have your own message printed on the inside of the card if you wish.
Another good reason to celebrate Mothering Sunday is that it can be an excuse for the whole family to have a great day out! Mums usually love nothing more than spending time with the family and a gift experience is a great alternative to a present she can unwrap. A glorious champagne laden hot air balloon flight is around 150 and the perfect way of making mum feel special ? just make sure she has a head for heights! The rest of the family can follow on in the car and watch take-off and landing or alternatively you can get a maximum luxury hot air balloon flight for two so that you and mum can enjoy the finest views in peace together. The photos you take will be fantastic and the memories will last a lifetime. There are even hot air balloon themed cards to accompany the special day. If your budget can?t quite stretch to a hot air balloon flight then why not get her a hot air balloon mug, personalised to include her name written out in clouds. Personalised gifts show so much more thought and effort than their standard shop bought equivalent so you can?t go wrong.
If you would love to buy your mum a more traditional Mothers Day gift such as a big bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates you can ? but give them a bit of a twist. A flower basket is a beautiful way of displaying flowers and is more unusual than a vase. For around 35 you can get her a traditional bouquet displayed in an attractive and reusable basket.
Alternatively, if she is green-fingered, why not buy her something to grow in the garden. A bouquet of fresh cut flowers only lasts a few days but something she can grow from scratch could last many years. From miniature sunflowers she can plant indoors or outdoors to roses that are named after her, there is something to suit your mum on her special day. The personalised roses are a fantastic, unexpected gift. Presented in an attractive box with instructions and certification that this variety of rose is named after your mum, it will make her day. There are many other gardening related gifts you can buy her too, from knee-pads to garden gnomes she can paint herself! You can even get her a mock-up magazine cover that looks as if it is the real thing but is personalised so that your mum is named ?Gardener of the Year?. It is sure to raise a smile and you can even frame it so it takes pride of place in mum?s home.
Mothering Sunday is all about your mum obviously, but most mums are all about their family. Make this Mothers Day a family affair with something you can all enjoy and give mum memories that will last many Mothering Sundays to come. A family photo shoot is a fantastic way of capturing a memory forever. The professional shoot lasts around 20 minutes and is for three or more people. At around 40 it?s cheaper than you may think and the final print is something you will be showing your children and grandchildren in future years.
From Mothers Day cards to unforgettable days out ? there?s no excuse not to celebrate Mothering Sunday.

Volunteer high school coach Bill Courtney says, "Football doesn't build character. Football reveals character." The triumphant sports documentary "Undefeated" proves that it does both.
[A] stirring, emotional portrait of a high school football team in the impoverished neighborhood of North Memphis, Tenn.
It's a bit too long and a bit too vague at times, but this is a film about dedication, progress and the bond of human effort. It just also happens to include football.
"Undefeated'' needs less of what we know we've seen (the football stuff) and more of the players' and coaches' lives, which even if we feel we've seen, we haven't.
What makes this a terrific film is how much we care about the players.
For all its good intentions, the film, like its main subject, is a tourist, earning trust as it earnestly captures the incredible struggles of these young men, but never digging deep enough to actually make the story theirs.
A touching documentary that offers a field-level portrait of male mentorship, compassion and unvarnished hope - all without a Hollywood ending.
It is a powerful reminder of the difference one person can make -- and of the consequences when no one is willing to make that difference.
What lifts 'Undefeated' above other sports docs is the remarkable force of Bill Courtney's personality.
It may call to mind The Blind Side or Remember the Titans, but there's no Hollywood glitz in the blighted burg of Manassas.
I regret that we don't meet more of Courtney's players, but that might have required a miniseries rather than a movie. And "Undefeated" makes sure the coach who is its central figure is more complex and fascinating than most fictional movie characters.
...an inspirational and often touching film that lets us get to know a dedicated coach who has faith in his players and delivers what he promises (almost).
This is a film that doesn't cater only to the traditional football fan.
In introducing us to [Coach] Courtney...Undefeated finds its voice
Just like a well-fought playoff win, it'll leave you a little misty-eyed.
This is one of the best sports documentaries of the last few years and while I don't think it should have won in a VERY good year for non-fiction film, I'm really not upset at all that it did.
Finds the warmth and vulnerability that is sometimes hard for outsiders to see beneath the rough, damaged exterior of the impoverished Memphis neighborhood where much of the action takes place.
The hardened inner-city kids here are far more authentic than anything Hollywood can offer, and as a result the film has a raw emotional weight that commercial features rarely achieve.
